Kudos: Kirkwood Mountain Resort partners with Bread & Broth

Bread & Broth would like to thank Kirkwood Mountain Resort for once again supporting our Monday evening meal program at St. Theresa Church Grace Hall. Kirkwood’s “Adopt A Day of Nourishment” sponsorship provided the funds for the nutritious and filling meal served at B&B’s July 18 dinner. That evening, the dinner guests enjoyed roasted chicken served with broccoli, beans, coleslaw, rice, and assorted desserts. It was a great “home-cooked” meal.

Helping at the dinner were Kirkwood Mountain Resort team members Cara Bourne, Jacob Klade, Jarrett Morgan, and Stephanie Padilla - all Kirkwood team members. The B&B volunteers helping at the meal would like to extend thanks to these four sponsor volunteers. They were a very energetic group and put a lot of effort and care into helping with the dinner’s setup, serving, and cleanup. Their kindness and warmth in welcoming the dinner guests were just an additional example of their commitment to helping others.

“Everyone we served met us with kindness and gratitude,” commented Stephanie. “Really enjoyed those who introduced themselves and hearing their stories. Our group is already planning for our next sponsorship visit.”

B&B is also looking forward to the next Kirkwood sponsorship in September.

In addition to our Monday Meal, B&B would like to invite our community members to our Second Serving held every Friday at the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
