Rotary Charity Cup Golf Tournament at Lake Tahoe Golf Course this September

Tahoe Douglas Rotary is now accepting golf foursome signups to play in their popular annual Fun-Raiser Charity Cup Golf Tournament on Sunday, September 17 at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course. For decades the Rotary Club became synonymous with St. Patrick's Day fun with its annual silent auction and celebration. While there won’t be free wine and Irish jigs on the golf course (well unless you feel like dancing of course), the Rotarians have pledged to host a memorable day on the links! The Club will cap off the day with a 19th Hole Awards Happy Hour followed by an End of Summer Weenie Roast. 

“It’s going to be a fun day, but most importantly we’re all supporting Rotary’s numerous community efforts," said the club’s president, Tim Williams.

In addition to closest to the pin and longest drive competitions, supporters get a chance to win a new Toyota with the Jim Began Tahoe Toyota “Hole in One Challenge.”  And they’ll end the round with an exciting Helicopter Golf Ball Drop.

"Even if you don't golf, you can still support the fundraiser by purchasing the golf balls for the helicopter drop.  Closest “sponsored” golf ball to the hole wins a week’s stay in Hawaii and some traveling money” Williams added. 

Early check-in and range access are at 12 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Entry donation to play in the Charity Cup Tournament and to participate in all activities is $175. per person or $650. for a foursome team.  There are also a variety of high-profile tournament sponsorship opportunities available.
