COVID-19 cases for Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There were 48 new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since yesterday. The county doesn't have data on how many of the new cases are breakthrough cases or the Delta variant, but they have been been alerted to 11 Delta variant cases, all with lab collection dates between May and early July.

The new cases:

Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz - 574 cases - +1 - The 14-day new case rate is 22 with 162 per 100,000 residents.

El Dorado Hills - 2438 cases - +12 - The 14-day new case rate is 99 with 233 per 100,000 residents.
Diamond Springs, El Dorado - 507 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 18 with 191 per 100,000 residents.
North County - 527 cases - +4 - The 14-day new case rate is 10 with 69 per 100,000 residents.
Greater Placerville - 1994 cases - +6 - The 14-day new case rate is 75 with 205 per 100,000 residents.
Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue - 1917 cases - +4 - The 14-day new case rate is 60 with 170 per 100,000 residents.
South County - 138 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 4 with 39 per 100,000 residents.
Lake Tahoe region - 2818 cases - +13 - The 14-day new case rate is 76 with 251 per 100,000 residents.

To date, 120 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were no new deaths this weekend.

There are 8 <-2> hospitalized with 1 <-2> in the ICU. Of these patients, 8 are hospitalized at Marshall, 0 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 0 are in Barton, 1 at Marshall in Placerville. There are currently six available ICU beds in the county, 4 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, 2 at Marshall.
