South Shore gaming revenues almost even with last year in latest report

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,245,814,727 for the month of June 2023, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's monthly report released Friday. This amounts to a 2.44 percent decrease compared to the same month a year ago when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,277,029,261. For the fiscal year the gaming win has increased by 3.25 percent with 15,105,608,664 in "win".

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

For Lake Tahoe's south shore, the "win" revenue was $22,055,577, almost even with June 2022's $22,218,554. For their fiscal year, revenue win was up by 7.15 percent when compared to the previous period. The South Shore fiscal year win was $251,479,363.

On the south shore, $3,926,000 came from table games and $18,130,000 from slots.

Carson Valley area casinos reported an $11,490,471 gaming win, up 2.37 percent. On the North Shore, the reported gaming win of $2,031,175 was down 28.15 percent.

Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County mostly saw gaming-related revenue increase from last year collectively by 10.05 percent with a "win" of $94,244,564.

For the fiscal year, Nevada collected $78,561,494 in percentage fees.
