National Night Out scheduled for August 6 in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held in communities across the country on the first Tuesday of August. The event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, and more caring places to live.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

This year's event will be held on Tuesday, August 6 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the T.J. Maxx parking lot at the "Y" in South Lake Tahoe (2015 Lake Tahoe Blvd.)

Visit with teams from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, California Highway Patrol, as well as other community partners.
