COVID-19 cases continue to spike; Figures from El Dorado, Douglas and Washoe counties

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There were 62 new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since yesterday.
The 14-day case rates and number of the population per 100,000 residents are continuing to climb closure to data seen at the height of the pandemic. According to Test Well of South Lake Tahoe and Reno, they had a 21 percent positivity rate on 100 tests on Thursday alone. Tests they did over the previous seven days was 12.6 percent and 10.4 percent for previous two weeks. Below is the information for El Dorado County, Douglas County and Washoe County.
The new cases for El Dorado County:
Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz - 573 cases - +1 - The 14-day new case rate is 21 with 155 per 100,000 residents.
El Dorado Hills - 2426 cases - +14 - The 14-day new case rate is 116 with 273 per 100,000 residents.
Diamond Springs, El Dorado - 504 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 25 with 266 per 100,000 residents.
North County - 523 cases - +1 - The 14-day new case rate is 14 with 97 per 100,000 residents.
Greater Placerville - 1988 cases - +9 - The 14-day new case rate is 71 with 194 per 100,000 residents.
Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue - 1913 cases - +10 - The 14-day new case rate is 68 with 192 per 100,000 residents.
South County - 136 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 10 with 96 per 100,000 residents.
Lake Tahoe region - 2805 cases - +14 - The 14-day new case rate is 89 with 294 per 100,000 residents.

To date, 120 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were no new deaths.
There are 10 (+0) hospitalized with 5 (+2) in the ICU. Of these patients, 8 are hospitalized at Marshall, 2 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 2 are in Barton, 3 at Marshall in Placerville. There are currently four available ICU beds in the county, two at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, two at Marshall.

For the week of 7/22 - 7/28/2021 they are reporting 162 new cases and 74 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 13,493, with 12,946 recoveries and 233 deaths; 314 cases remain active.

Washoe County
Washoe County is reporting 152 daily new cases of COVID-19 with a total of 297 breakthrough cases in the county to-date (those who had been vaccinated). There are currently 1,645 active cases of COVID in Washoe County.
Their positivity rate has risen from a low of 2.7 percent on June 8 to the rate of 9.5 percent on June 26.
