Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe installs new board

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The 2023-24 Soroptimist International South Lake Tahoe (SISLT) board was installed on June 21.

SISLT has been saving proceeds from fundraisers for over a decade to fund a legacy major project that fulfills its mission to EMPOWER women and youth. SOROPTIMIST STADIUM: HOME OF GIRLS SOFTBALL will drive home the message that our girls deserve the facilities, equipment, training, and resources to succeed and thrive!

A very short list of the club's contributions made to South Lake Tahoe includes Community Service Grants each year, Scholarship programs that aim to support young adults who are pursuing higher education, and job training that receives limited to no financial support. Each scholarship is worth at least $1,000. In addition, they sponsor awards programs such as the Live Your Dream Awards, The Ruby Award, and more.

Their 50th Gala winetasting event is coming up on November 3, 2023.
