Final summer show to honor Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra & South of North Brewing Co.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Tahoe Improv Players’ June and July shows were sellouts to celebrate their 30-year anniversary. Their next and final show for this summer is Tuesday, August 8, at the Boathouse Theater, Valhalla Tahoe.

The show will honor Soroptimists International of Tahoe Sierra in recognition of the club’s services to improve the lives of women and youth in our community and the world. And from the private sector, South of North Brewing Co. is being honored for its active role in supporting the local arts community through sponsoring fundraising events, displaying artists’ work at their brewery, and sponsoring events of the Valhalla Tahoe Summer Fes:val Of The Arts.

“We look forward to having volunteers from these entities play in some of the improv games,” said Gerry Orton, Director. “It’s always an audience favorite.”

All the proceeds from TIP's three summer shows are being donated to these organizations, including Tahoe Youth & Family Services, who were honored in TIP’s June 27th show.

“We wanted to give something back and say 'thank you South Lake Tahoe' for its 30 years of support,” said Orton, Director of TIP.

Michelle Morton, Site Opera:ons Manager said, “It’s the best live family entertainment at Lake Tahoe.” and advised people to purchase tickets in
advance.

Tahoe Improv Players’ journey began as ComedySportz Lake Tahoe in 1993 and evolved into Tahoe Improv Players in 1997. Orton, who along with Frank Riley, co-founded the troupe said they are looking forward to keeping their 30-year run going. “No matter how many shows we do, we never run out of material,” said Riley. “Every show is new.”
