COVID-19 cases for Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There were 163 new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since Friday.

The 14-day case rates and number of the population per 100,000 residents are continuing to climb closer to data seen at the height of the pandemic.

The new cases for El Dorado County:

Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz - 583 cases - +5 - The 14-day new case rate is 25 with 184 per 100,000 residents.
El Dorado Hills - 2494 cases - +22 - The 14-day new case rate is 127 with 299 per 100,000 residents.
Diamond Springs, El Dorado - 522 cases - +8 - The 14-day new case rate is 30 with 319 per 100,000 residents.
North County - 545 cases - +13 - The 14-day new case rate is 26 with 180 per 100,000 residents.
Greater Placerville - 1988 cases - +25 - The 14-day new case rate is 84 with 229 per 100,000 residents.
Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue - 1951 cases - +12 - The 14-day new case rate is 72 with 204 per 100,000 residents.
South County - 148 cases - +4 - The 14-day new case rate is 13 with 125 per 100,000 residents.
Lake Tahoe region - 2913 cases - +65 - The 14-day new case rate is 144 with 476 per 100,000 residents.

To date, 120 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were no new deaths.

There are 18 (+8) hospitalized with 5 (+0) in the ICU. Of these patients, 16 are hospitalized at Marshall, 2 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 2 are in Barton, 3 at Marshall in Placerville. There are currently two available ICU beds in the county, 2 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, 0 at Marshall.

Barton Hospital is keeping all patients in negative pressure rooms in the ICU at this time, though only counting actual ICU patients in the figures above. They have more negative pressure rooms should they be needed.
