COVID-19 cases for Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There were 24 new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since yesterday.
The 14-day case rates and number of the population per 100,000 residents are continuing to climb closer to data seen at the height of the pandemic in Winter 2020. It is already higher than last summer. There has been one additional death.
The new cases for El Dorado County:
Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz - 583 cases - +0 - The 14-day new case rate is 25 with 184 per 100,000 residents.
El Dorado Hills - 2496 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 123 with 289 per 100,000 residents.
Diamond Springs, El Dorado - 525 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 31 with 330 per 100,000 residents.
North County - 548 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 28 with 193 per 100,000 residents.
Greater Placerville - 2041 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 82 with 224 per 100,000 residents.
Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue - 1953 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 71 with 201 per 100,000 residents.
South County - 150 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 15 with 145 per 100,000 residents.
Lake Tahoe region - 2924 cases - +11 - The 14-day new case rate is 146 with 483 per 100,000 residents.

To date, 121 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There was one new death, One additional death, a female from Placerville in the 65+ age group.
There are 17 (-1) hospitalized with 5 (+0) in the ICU. Of these patients, 14 are hospitalized at Marshall, 3 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 2 are in Barton, 3 at Marshall in Placerville. There are currently three available ICU beds in the county, 3 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, 0 at Marshall. There is one suspected case of COVID-19 at Barton in their ICU.
Barton Hospital is keeping all patients in negative pressure rooms in the ICU at this time, though only counting actual ICU patients in the figures above. They have more negative pressure rooms should they be needed.
