Plans for old Lilly Tires corner before South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Muller Redevelopment Project at 2629 and 2635 Lake Tahoe Boulevard is before the South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission on August 17.

For decades the two parcels were home to first Pete Lilly's Firestone and later Lilly's Tire Service before Pete's retirement and sale of the properties. The new owner, Steven Muller, has a major redesign of the corner property before the commission that will bring a mixed-use project. This will include converting the previous retail and warehouse commercial
use to a mixture of auto service, contract construction service and professional office commercial uses, and two multifamily residential units.

The commercial uses will be housed on the ground floor of the existing structures, which will be remodeled and rehabilitated. The residential units will be on the second floor of one building. One of the existing buildings will be demolished and rebuilt in a location consistent with setback requirements. The project includes complete reconstruction of the site improvements and landscaping.

Thursday's meeting starts at 3 p.m. in the City Council chamber at the airport, and can also be followed online. For information, visit HERE.
