Weekly recap of COVID-19 for counties around Lake Tahoe

This is the weekly wrap up for counties around Lake Tahoe. Monday through Thursday we will be posting South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County, then weekly stats for everyone else on Fridays.

El Dorado County

There have been 28 new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since yesterday.

Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz - 615 cases - +6 - The 14-day new case rate is 37 with 273 per 100,000 residents.
El Dorado Hills - 2629 cases - +11 - The 14-day new case rate is 155 with 365 per 100,000 residents.
Diamond Springs, El Dorado - 562 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 45 with 479 per 100,000 residents.
North County - 586 cases - +6 - The 14-day new case rate is 52 with 359 per 100,000 residents.
Greater Placerville - 2161 cases - +14 - The 14-day new case rate is 145 with 396 per 100,000 residents.
Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue - 2072 cases - +16 - The 14-day new case rate is 132 with 373 per 100,000 residents.
South County - 166 cases - +1 - The 14-day new case rate is 21 with 202 per 100,000 residents.
Lake Tahoe region - 3114 cases - +13 - The 14-day new case rate is 269 with 889 per 100,000 residents.

To date, 122 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were no news deaths today.

There are 24 (+8) hospitalized with 6 (+-) in the ICU. Of these patients, 17 are hospitalized at Marshall, 7 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 2 are in Barton, 4 at Marshall in Placerville.

Barton Health want to reassure the community they have room in their ICU and at times the actual numbers and State's figures don't match up due to timing. Currently the State's website says there are 2 available ICU beds in the county, 2 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, 0 at Marshall.

Barton Hospital is keeping all patients in negative pressure rooms in the ICU at this time, though only counting actual ICU patients in the figures above. They have more negative pressure ICU rooms should they be needed.
