Virtual Town Hall on "Preparing for the Delta Variant Impacts"

The Tahoe Chamber is holding a Virtual Town Hall on "Preparing for the Delta Variant Impacts" on Friday, August 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The surge of the Delta variant is disrupting our long-anticipated recovery and renewing uncertainties for businesses, employees, parents, and students.

The meeting will be led by Dr. Matthew Wonnacott, Barton Health Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Todd Cutler, the Lake Tahoe Unified School District superintendent. They will addressing measures in place given the rise of Delta variant cases. The conversation will focus on rising public health

concerns and the implications that affect everyone in our community.

The Virtual Town Hall is free to attend and open to the public. To join, pre-register on the Chamber website at tahoechamber.org/events. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions that will be answered following the presentations.

Nevada has reinstated mask mandates in 12 of its 17 counties including Douglas County. In California, numerous counties have restored mask policies while El Dorado County has yet to make a motion. All California K-12 schools will require masks for all students and staff indoors. Lake Tahoe Unified School District goes back to school August 12, 2021.
