South Lake Tahoe to start the week with rain, the end will be sunny, warming and clear

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - All eyes have been on Hilary as the storm made its way through Mexico to Southern California, and following the storm as it tracks through central Nevada. Hilary officially made landfall in northern Baja California as a Tropical Storm with sustained winds of 65 mph.

As the rain and thunderstorms make their way out, the remainder of the week will see temperatures gradually warm, and daily chances of showers start to weed themselves out.

The South Lake Tahoe forecast from the National Weather Service in Reno:

Monday - Rain likely before 11 am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

Monday Night - Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 43. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light south after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tuesday - A chance of rain before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 am. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 44. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind will come from the north around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 78.

Thursday Night - A slight chance of rain before 11 pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 49.
