Stateline casinos "win" down 1.28% in June, Nevada down 3%

Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,315,987,732 for the month of July 2022, a decrease of 3.17 percent from the same period in 2021. The South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos did about the same as their "win" was down 1.28 percent from the same period with their gaming revenue of $31,836,893, according to the State's monthly gaming revenue report.

Last month's report showed over $22M in gaming revenue on the South Shore and $1.27B for the state of Nevada. The South Shore was down 28.75 percent when compared to the previous year in June.

Most of the State showed decreases from the same month in July 2021. The

Las Vegas Strip had a "gaming win" down 2.42 percent, Downtown Las Vegas down 16.64 percent. Even though the "win" was down, those two areas still had gaming revenues of over $850M.

North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 17.17 percent decrease in the "win" with their reported $2,801,391.

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

Carson City and the Carson Valley's win was $11,761,672, down 3.34 percent from win figures from July 2021.

Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County also saw gaming-related revenue in the negative, with Sparks down 9.02 percent, Reno, down 4.39 percent, and the county as a whole, down 5.26 percent.

The State has collected $90,389,289 in percentage fees to date in the new fiscal year, a drop of over 11 percent.
