Full agenda for South Lake Tahoe City Council on Tuesday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Flight Deck Grill & Golf Club may soon be coming to the Lake Tahoe Airport as a new concessionaire agreement will be discussed and possibly approved on Tuesday. The South Lake Tahoe City Council will receive a presentation from Flight Deck Grill & Golf Club, LLC on their plans for the space that has been vacant since February 16, 2024.

Thomas McMurray of Stateline has plans for a "full-service dining experience
in a welcoming and casual environment." His company's vision includes a complete remodel of the dining room and vestibule. Plans are for an extension of the existing bar, all new interior/exterior furnishings, and the installation of state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators. Golf simulators will provide a new level of entertainment for patrons and offer an avenue for growth and sales for the restaurant.

His total investment to open will be about $900,000.

Also on the agenda:

A five year contract extension with Axon for Body Worn Camera, in Car Camera, unlimited data storage, enhanced software support, licenses, and no questions warranty. Since the initial 2020 purchase, the Axon BWC and In-Car Video systems have been integrated into the daily work of the South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD). Each call for service or contact is classified and automatically attaches to any applicable video that has been uploaded for that call. SLTPD officers look to the cameras as valuable partners providing transparency and perspective to their public interactions and criminal investigations. Cost is about one-million dollars.

A report will be given to inform the Council and public on the current landscape and coordination of City departments and regional partners addressing homelessness.

Before beginning widespread community engagement, staff is requesting City
Council's input on topics that should be prioritized in development of the Mid-Town Area Plan. Staff will be presenting recommendations that have been identified through recent City efforts such as amendments to the Tourist Core Area Plan and Tahoe Valley Area Plan; development of the 56-Acres
Master Plan; development of the ADA Transition Plan; and community forums on housing.

Possible approval of a funding agreement with the South Shore Transportation
Management Association (SS/TMA) to extend the term of microtransit for one year, until September 2025. For Lake Link to continue in the City it would require another investment of $650,000.
