Optimists and STHS Junior Optimists Club give $6,000 to Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Optimist Club of South Lake Tahoe along with the newly formed Junior Optimist Club at South Tahoe High School, presented a check to the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe for $6,000 for playground equipment. The Optimist Club said they are proud to support the Boys & Girls Club whose mission, along with the Optimists' mission, is to support local youth.

The Junior Optimist club was formed last year under the guidance of Optimist member Connie Yale and has experienced tremendous growth along with students developing a commitment to community service. The Junior Optimists can be reached via their Instagram account at @sthsjroptimist.
