Free community e-waste disposal with Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Everyone is invited to join the women from Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra (SITS) at South Tahoe Refuse on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to rid your homes or businesses of e-waste. Simply swing by with your items and fill up the e-waste bins.
Examples of electronic waste include TVs, computer monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cables, circuit boards, lamps, clocks, flashlights, calculators, phones, answering machines, digital/video cameras, radios, VCRs, DVD players, MP3 and CD players.
Proper disposal of e-waste is a concern for all of us. E-waste can cause serious environmental problems due to toxic chemicals such as lead, mercury, and arsenic that pollute our soil and water and disrupt our ecosystems and our health.
