As critical fire weather, including high temperatures and strong winds, persists, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is working proactively to place firefighting resources in high-risk areas. Cal OES has strategically prepositioned fire engines and personnel in multiple counties to respond if needed.
The prepositioned fire resources include:
El Dorado County:
4 Local Government Engines
2 Local Government Water Tenders
1 Local Government Dispatcher
2 Local Government IMT Members
Los Angeles County:
5 Local Government Engines, Type 1
1 Local Government Water Tender, Type 1
1 Local Government Helicopter, Type 1
1 Local Government Hand crew, Type 1
1 Local Government Dispatcher

10 Local Government Engines
3 Local Government Water Tenders
1 Local Government Dispatcher
3 Local Government IMT Members
Sierra County:
