Multicultural Celebration at Bijou Community Park on Saturday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The upcoming Multicultural Celebration this Saturday, September 9, from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Bijou Community Park promises to be a fun-filled day for the whole family. With music, live art, and dance performances, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

The event is free and open to all members of the community. In addition to the exciting performances, there will be free activities for families to participate in throughout the day including Story Time, Bubble Show, Drumming Circle, and a follow-along dance for all to learn (see the schedule above).

If you plan on driving to the event, parking will be available at Lake Tahoe Community College. However, people are encouraged to consider carpooling or taking the Lake Link instead. For those who plan on biking to the event, the Lake Tahoe Bike Coalition will be providing a free bike valet.

Stay all day and enjoy the food truck and beer tent. Come and celebrate the diverse cultures that make up our community while enjoying a day of fun and entertainment. The City hopes to see you there and “In Culture We Thrive!”
