Farmers Market returns to South Lake Tahoe Tuesday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With US50 and SR88 closed, the route of many fruit and vegetable vendors is cut off but the Tuesday Farmer's Market in South Lake Tahoe will still go on as planned on September 14. Smoke and the recent evacuation has caused cancelations of the popular weekly event.

Organizer Jim Coldwell said at least ten farmers are going to make the extra journey along with some additional craft and food vendors.

The market is held in the parking lot of the American Legion at 2732 South Lake Tahoe Blvd (US50) from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. They plan to have the seasonal El Dorado County Certified Market in South Lake Tahoe until October 12.
