Tahoe Magic seeking donations to help residents with one-time financial assistance after Caldor Fire evacuations

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Tahoe Magic has been helping families with one-time financial crisis assistance for over 27 years. When the pandemic hit the South Lake Tahoe community, Tahoe Magic, a trusted and respected non-profit responded to help our neighbors. Thanks to community donations and support from foundations and businesses, they have been able to assist those impacted with more than $430,000 in shelter and essential need assistance since March of 2020. What an incredible community to live in!

Now the Caldor Fire has disproportionately affected many with the same circumstance that our pandemic affected. It has also created extreme financial stress on families that have never before needed assistance. These neighbors work in our tourist industry, are caregivers, restaurant employees and perhaps our friends and neighbors. They may be low wage earners and had their hours reduced or eliminated again and were evacuated with no support or income. They may have lost their job during this time.

Tahoe Magic has been helping these families with one-time Caldor Fire shelter assistance to avoid homelessness. They work in partnership with referring agencies to identify families in need of help. Tahoe Magic does not give funds directly to families. Please consider donating to Tahoe Magic, Box 13070, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96151, or at Tahoemagic.org to leave a donation. 100 percent of all donations go directly to help our neighbors.

We are truly Tahoe Strong when we strongly support those that need us.
