Community invited to "Fine Candidates and Finer Food" event

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A unique non-partisan event combining gourmet cuisine and local politics is set to take place on October 5, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at a private residence in midtown South Lake Tahoe. All community members are warmly invited to attend, regardless of political affiliation.

"Fine Candidates and Finer Food" will showcase culinary creations from two acclaimed local chefs who are also running for public office: Keith Roberts, City Council candidate and renowned chef, and Seth Dallob, STPUD Board candidate and proprietor of Tahoe Persian Kitchen.

The evening promises an array of delectable offerings, including charcuterie, appetizers, main courses, and desserts. A special grazing table will be provided by Tahoe Charcuterie Co., adding to the event's gastronomic appeal.

"Even if you don't care about local politics, come for the good food and good company," said Seth Dallob, event organizer and chef. "We're excited to offer a relaxed environment where everyone can enjoy exceptional cuisine and great conversation."

While attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet the chefs/candidates, the event emphasizes a welcoming atmosphere for all, whether interested in political discussion or simply enjoying a fine meal with neighbors.

In the spirit of inclusivity, tickets are available on a pay-what-you-can basis, with a suggested donation of $50 per person. All proceeds will support the candidates' campaigns.
