It will feature a screening of the movie on October 6 at 12:45 p.m. at the Tahoe Blue Event Center and an insightful panel discussion immediately following with the filmmaker and community leaders.

The panelists who will discuss the film are Lucy Martin, co-producer of the movie and impact director at Children's Literacy Project; Adam Eynon, director of dual enrollment and student outreach at LTCC; Valerie Mansfield, LTUSD Board of Education president; Ravyn Smith, senior vice president, marketing & development at United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra; and Melissa Uppendahl, executive director of the Marcella Foundation and founder of Lift Literature. They will be sharing insights on literacy in underserved communities, and explore ways to break the cycle of illiteracy.
