Public's help sought in Zephyr Cove vehicle break-ins and credit card theft

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) is asking for the public's assistance to identify individuals that were possibly involved in several vehicle break-ins in the Zephyr Cove area in August.

Several vehicles were broken into on August 21 in the later afternoon, and at least one purse containing credit cards was stolen. After the break-ins, one of those stolen credit cards was used at the Round Hill Safeway. Video surveillance from the transaction revealed two possible suspects, a male, and a female.

The male appears to be Caucasian, with dark hair and a short beard. He was seen wearing grey pants or shorts, a black shirt with a red and grey horizontal stripe, and a shoulder bag slung across his right shoulder. He has tattoos on his right and left forearms.

The female appears to be Caucasian, with dark, long hair. She was wearing a black shirt and short pants with white tennis shoes. She was also wearing a small light colored backpack.

DCSO has exhausted all leads and would like the public's help to identify individuals involved in several vehicle break-ins and related credit card fraud. Please contact Investigator Brandon Williamson at (775)586-7253 with any information relating to the identity of the suspect(s).
