One more day to participate in TRPA housing survey; Meeting Wednesday

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) has launched a FlashVote survey to gain further community input on code amendments needed to reduce the cost of building deed-restricted affordable and workforce housing in the region.

The FlashVote survey will be open until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27.

Please take the quick survey to provide your input - https://www.flashvote.com/lake-tahoe-basin-nv-ca/surveys/regional-housing-09-23.

TRPA planners spent the summer gathering public input on code amendments needed to reduce the cost of building deed-restricted affordable and workforce housing in the region. You can learn about the proposed policy changes and get answers to frequently asked questions by scrolling through the website storybook.

As the public process to consider the amendments moves forward, staff hosted a special webinar last week to present an overview and field questions. The recording, along with additional questions received during the webinar has been posted to the website. Responses to those questions will be posted this week.

The amendments will reach an important milestone this Wednesday, September 27 at the Regional Plan Implementation Committee meeting. They hope you can join the hearing in-person or online, beginning no earlier than 2 p.m.

It follows the TRPA Governing Board meeting that starts no earlier than 10:15 a.m. The agenda is available HERE. It will be held both in person and remotely.
