Fifth annual Fright at the Fairgrounds held through October in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - The fifth annual "Fright at the Fairgrounds" will be held every Friday and Saturday through the month of October.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) puts on the event for the community at the county's fairgrounds located off Pinenut Road in Gardnerville starting October 1 and running through Halloween Night on October 31.
DCSO runs two operation times. The first session of the day is held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m and is "not so scary" and meant for smaller kids. The second session is the main event is "full-scare" and held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tickets are $10.00 per maze.
This attraction is operated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies and civilian volunteers who donate their time planning, building, decorating and operating the event.
Proceeds from the event go to assist DCSO Special Programs, such as the K-9 Unit.
