Cascade Kitchens in South Lake Tahoe plans winter opening

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A new family-friendly business is heading to South Lake Tahoe - Cascade Kitchens. They are finishing up transforming the former Kmart Garden Center into a commissary kitchen with eight food vendors, a bar, a pop-up market, a private event space, and indoor and outdoor dining areas. The atmosphere will be that of a community gathering spot, with the culinary delights of vendors and artisans from our local region and beyond.

Situated on Tata Lane across the street from the soon-to-be-open Sugar Pine Village, Cascade Kitchens will also offer the commissary kitchen for food trucks and other culinary needs.

The planned completion is Winter 2024.

The doors may not be open yet, but first-run merchandise items with beautiful branding by Tahoe-based, Locals Creative are now available. The online store can be found HERE.

There is still some vendor space available. If interested, visit HERE.

Upon opening, Hospitality HQ will be managing the location with direction and support from owners, Alpine View Investments.

The building that will be home to Cascade Kitchens was once Don Weir Dodge, Bernie Kass’ Tahoe Dodge and Datsun, a taxi dispatch center, and Kmart Garden, Appliance and Furniture store. It is located at 1030 Tata Lane, South Lake Tahoe.
