Douglas County School Board candidates scheduled to debate

With the election just over a month away, there are opportunities to listen to the candidates for multiple offices in the area. One race has become contentious, that for three Douglas County School Board trustee positions, one for each area 2, 5, and 6.
A group from Douglas County, the non-partisan Good Governance Group, is hosting a debate with the six candidates on October 6 at 5 p.m. at the Douglas County Community Center.
The debate will be moderated by Pat Bridges, the retired publisher of the Record-Courier. The candidates have very differing views on school policy and direction.
