Bellamy parking garage at Heavenly Village closing for construction

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Due to construction, the Bellamy parking garage at Heavenly Village will be inaccessible from Monday, October 2 through Monday, October 16.

The entrance and exit of the garage are being updated as well as configuration and flow changes. Parking along Bellamy Court will be free during this period.

The parking garage was built as part of the area redevelopment almost 20 years ago, and the South Lake Tahoe Joint Powers Parking Financing Authority has a financial obligation to its bondholders to maintain a garage that is functional and yet financially self-sustaining. Since the garage's future depends on having a structure that the community and visitors can safely use and rely on, funds earned through the garage not only repay the loan but also maintain it.

Operating revenue is derived from all sources of income which includes parking rents, passes, fees, and charges. Hourly usage revenue constitutes the majority of revenue. Additionally, the Authority offers a range of monthly and seasonal passes, as well as offering storage spaces and validations for Heavenly Village merchants.
