Dry, sunny and clear around Lake Tahoe through the week

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Dry weather, clear skies, and light winds will continue throughout the upcoming week. Temperatures will remain above seasonal averages, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

This ridge of high pressure will continue to build across the western U.S into next weekend. This will keep the area dry with clear skies and light winds. Temperatures will trend up through mid-week and will be between 5
to 10 degrees above average for the first week of October. In fact, the latest forecasts from the Climate Prediction Center are showing this streak of above-average temperatures and dry weather is likely to continue into the middle of the month.

The South Lake Tahoe forecast for the week from NWS Reno:

Monday - Sunny, with a high near 74. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 35. Calm wind.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 36. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 76.

Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 38.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 76.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 36.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 75.

Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 73.
