Owners of The Pink House in Genoa closing its doors, placing historic building up for sale

The owners of the historic Pink House in Genoa, Nev. are closing the doors on October 15 after seven years in business. They made the announcement on social media Monday, surprising their many fans.

"Many factors have led to this decision, much has changed for us personally and professionally, and that has only accelerated since 2020," the owners stated. "Ultimately, with the conclusion of the summer season and our participation in the recent Genoa Candy Dance, now is the right time for us to call it a day."

People can still visit for cheese and charcuterie boards and drinks Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., but they have discontinued their lunch menu.

A discount of 15 percent will be offered on all purchases of merchandise, wine, cheese, and charcuterie valued at over $100. Unused gift cards can still be used, or call the owner Lois Wray, or General Manager Casey Sebahar to make arrangements to redeem.

Wray will continue to run the restaurant Daniel's Fine Dining which is located on Main Street in Genoa.

"While we may be closing, we’re also selling the property," said the post on Facebook. "We already have a few offers from some amazing people who are interested in buying it and continuing what we were doing.
