Veterans TOT grant cycle open for round two of funding

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Nonprofits working with veterans are eligible to apply for grants during the month of October through a partnership with El Dorado Community Foundation and El Dorado County. The funds are from the County's Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT).

Grant requests of up to $10,000 will be considered by organizations that did NOT receive funding during the first cycle of this grant in August 2023.

Compliant nonprofits recognized as charitable concerns by the Internal Revenue Services including 501(c) corporations, churches, governments, and schools working with veterans can apply through October 31, 2023.

Since 2014, a portion of El Dorado County’s collected TOT has been allocated to support operations, programs, or property improvements/repairs for El Dorado County Veterans. Partnering together, the El Dorado Community Foundation as the administrator of these funds, and the El Dorado County Veteran Affairs Commission, grant these funds to nonprofit organizations that administer programs and services in support of our local veterans.

Complete requirements and submission details, as well as an online grant application, are available at https://smr.to/p92079. Questions can be directed to Kathy Haven at The El Dorado Community Foundation at kathy@eldoradocf.org.
