2024 Wreaths Across America ceremony planned for South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Daughters of the American Revolution, Lake Tahoe Chapter, will be sponsoring the annual 2024 Wreaths Across America Ceremony honoring active military personnel, veterans, and first responders at Happy Homestead Cemetery, 1261 Johnson Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 10 a.m. Cemetery staff, City of South Lake Tahoe officials, El Dorado County officials, and members of the Lake Tahoe DAR Chapter, South Lake Tahoe Police Department, South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue Department, Lake Valley Fire Department, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department, American Legion Post 795, American Legion Auxiliary and Gold Star Mothers have all been invited to participate in the ceremony.

Wreaths Across America was started nationally in 2005. Its mission has been to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who serve, and TEACH the next generation the value of freedom. The wreaths will honor the United States Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, Space Force, Coast Guard, MIA/POW’s, members of our law enforcement and fire and rescue agencies, and our nation’s first Patriot veterans.
