South Lake Tahoe to remain mostly dry and warm in the week ahead, and longer

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Warm afternoons and chilly mornings will persist at least through next weekend. Aside from a chance for a few late afternoon showers for the Sierra and western NV again on Monday, little to no precipitation is in the forecast for the next week or two, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
A blocking area of high pressure is forecast to remain along the west coast with nearly dry conditions over the next couple of weeks.

The originally forecast mid-week "cool-down" is all but gone from the ensemble solutions with afternoon highs staying in the low 80s across western Nevada valleys with 70s for the Sierra. However, overnight lows may dip below freezing a bit more frequently this week, be prepared for mid-upper 20s for the Sierra valleys and low 30s for outlying valleys across western Nevada.
