SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Tahoe High School (STHS) fall musical this year is the play Anything Goes. Students take the stage in this Cole Porter musical on November 3, 4, 6 10, & 11 at 7 p.m., and November 5 and 12 at 2 p.m.
The story concerns madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy Number 13, "Moonface" Martin, aid Billy in his quest to win Hope. The musical introduced such songs as "Anything Goes", "You're the Top", and "I Get a Kick Out of You."
The show is in the STHS TADA Theatre. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students 18 and under. They can be purchased on this website: https://sths.myschoolcentral.com/(S(lngbbucri3os1hae3oprmipb))/Index.aspx.
The school's Performing Arts Booster Association (PABA) is in need of donations for a fundraising basket giveaway drawing during the STHS Drama Department production of "Anything Goes".
STHS Performing Arts Booster Association, an entirely volunteer organization, supports over 600 students by enriching their high school experience with theater, music, digital media arts, fine arts, and visual arts. PABA also assists with the production costs of musicals, plays and concerts put on by STHS students and staff. If you can assist, contact sthspaba@gmail.com.
