SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A quick-moving storm passed through the Lake Tahoe area overnight, leaving snow on area roads as the morning commute began. Controls are in place on many highways so use precaution.
I80 closed for awhile Sunday as the California Highway Patrol dealt with numerous spin-outs and jackknifed trucks.
After the last bit of the weather system moves through, Monday's forecast is mostly sunny, with a high near 45 and a low of 19. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
