Meet South Lake Tahoe city council candidates at Cuppa Tahoe's "Coffee With a Candidate"

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Cuppa Tahoe is holding its first "Coffee With a Candidate" on October 27 to give the public an informal way to get to know those vying for South Lake Tahoe City Council.

Owner Sandra Santané and the Cuppa Tahoe Team invited the candidates after hosting several "Coffee With a Cop" events as well as "Coffee With the Mayor". During those, Santané said she found people will ask questions that they probably wouldn't ask in a formal environment. Interesting ideas, conversations, and understanding have come out of these meets, she said in an email inviting the 11 candidates.

So far, six of the candidates have confirmed their attendance.

There will be free drip coffee (regular/decaf) and tea served. The register is open until 7 p.m. should anyone want to purchase another beverage or food item.

Coffee With A Candidate will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at their location which is in the Crossing at Tahoe Valley, 2054 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.
