HOPE VALLEY, Calif. - Wylder Hope Valley Hotel continues its Eastern Sierra speaker series with two more campfire presentations on Saturday and Sunday, October 30 & 31.
In keeping with the theme of All Hallows Eve, on Saturday the 30th, local historian David Woodruff will recount tall tales from Tahoe Tessie to Hooch Simpson, The Man That Was Hung Twice in a 45-minute program, “Spooky Stories of the Sierra Nevada.”
Then on Sunday the 31st, using old photographs and extensive research, Woodruff will reminisce about a few of the colorful characters from Lake Tahoe’s past in, “Reflections of Lake Tahoe.”
Both campfire programs start at 10:00 a.m., are free of charge, and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, programs will be held indoors at Wylder Hotel Hope Valley. For more information call (760) 920-8061.
