Sidestreet Boutique reopens after March 2023 roof collapse

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The worst part of the March 5, 2023 roof collapse at Sidestreet Boutique for owner Barbara Parina may not have been the loss of about $1.9M in inventory, it's been not seeing her customers who have become good friends over her 52 years in business.

"Come see us, we miss all of our friends," said Barbara after reopening the boutique inside the Village Center in South Lake Tahoe.

The damaged store also gave Barbara and her team a chance to redesign the store and it now takes up less than half the footprint at 6,000 square feet. New lighting, a new layout, and new clothing lines will greet those walking in.

"We are happy to have our customers back," said Barbara who reopened at the end of July. "They love this store!"

Joseph Ribkoff, Sympli, Oo La La, Aratta, Jess and Jane, Gilli, Johnny Was, Ugg, Robert Graham, Tommy Bahama, and L'Artiste are just a few of the brands Sidestreet carries in men's and women; 's clothing, shoes, accessories, coats, formal wear, everyday wear, luxury wear, and more. Back are tuxedo rentals! The furs are gone, but new styles in leather and lamb shearling are now featured.

Not only did the inside change, but also the signage and the website with online sales at https://sidestreetboutique.com/.

Soon to come is a "hat bar" that will compliment the assortment of cowboy boots and trendy western wear.

The hours of Sidestreet Boutique are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, If stopping by this weekend, say "Happy Birthday" to Barbara!
