COVID-19 cases for South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There have been 24 new cases of COVID-19 and four deaths recorded since yesterday in El Dorado County.

Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz - 892 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 32 with 236 per 100,000 residents.
El Dorado Hills - 3370 cases - +9 - The 14-day new case rate is 79 with 186 per 100,000 residents.

Diamond Springs, El Dorado - 779 cases - +4 - The 14-day new case rate is 29 with 308 per 100,000 residents.
North County - 872 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 28 with 193 per 100,000 residents.
Greater Placerville - 2964 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 64 with 175 per 100,000 residents.
Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue - 2861 cases - +6 - The 14-day new case rate is 87 with 246 per 100,000 residents.
South County - 239 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 12 with 116 per 100,000 residents.
Lake Tahoe region - 3677 cases - +3 - The 14-day new case rate is 85 with 281 per 100,000 residents.

The active case count is 758 - (-25), 378 additional negative test results, 49 assumed recoveries (15,024).

To date, 155 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were two new deaths reported today:

Female, 65+; El Dorado Hills
Female, 65+; South County

Six out of the 139 confirmed COVID-19 deaths occurred in fully vaccinated individuals (For the time being, this count will be updated approximately monthly, on the last Thursday of every month).

There are 9 (+2) hospitalized with 4 (+1) in the ICU. Of these patients, 6 are hospitalized at Marshall, 3 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 3 are at Barton, 1 at Marshall in Placerville.

Currently, the State's website says there are 2 available ICU beds in the county, 1 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, 1 at Marshall. Barton has said there are plenty of beds available even if the state's website doesn't show it.
