Mid-Town Area Plan Open House

Event Date:
November 13, 2024 - 5:15pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The City of South Lake Tahoe, in collaboration with a local planning team, is creating an area plan that fosters a more defined sense of place in central South Lake Tahoe. Through outreach efforts this summer and fall, including stakeholder meetings, open houses, and public hearings, community members have shared with staff a clear vision of what this area should become. Please join them for an engaging open house to explore and discuss implementation tools that are designed to address community goals such as supporting redevelopment efforts and cultivating a vibrant arts district.

This Mid-Town Area Plan Open House will be on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the South Lake Tahoe Branch, El Dorado County Library, 1000 Rufus Allen Boulevard.

Join them at any time between 5:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

This event will not include a formal presentation. Please drop in to discuss implementation approaches with the design team, learn more about the current planning efforts for the Mid-Town Area Plan, and share your feedback on community priorities. You are encouraged to share this invitation with your community, as this event is open to all.

On November 12, 2024, the day before this open house, the Arts, Culture, and Tourism Commissions will be discussing considerations for community spaces and public art. A discussion will be held regarding what goals and topics should be highlighted through art within the Mid-Town area, followed by public comment.

Please visit the Mid-Town homepage for project background, and additional participation opportunities, and to sign up for notifications should you wish to follow along in this process.
