Review: Don't miss Guilty Christmas at the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre

"My face hurts from laughing the whole time," says my friend Courtney when I ask for her impression of Act 1 of Guilty Christmas, currently playing at Valhalla Boathouse Theatre. This was Night Two of the five-night stint, and wow, what a show! Nine actors make up this incredible ensemble cast, well really, they're all triple threats - acting, singing, and dancing their way through a very clever production that showcases our town and all of its idiosyncrasies.

The show highlights our most topical stories, from VHRs, to Caldor Fire, to Sunday traffic snafus at the Roundabout. The musical numbers are infectious, catchy original melodies as well as classic tunes that have been tweaked with clever lyrics. Blues, Rock, Funk, it all comes together on stage with Director Dave Hamilton's rendition of a Holiday Spectacular Show of South Lake Tahoe.

Oh, not to forget the mention of Music Director Mark D. Williams who makes the magic musicality come to life.

The show is edgy at times, provocative, and informative, especially for audience members visiting here, they may very well get educated on how to align themselves with the local community, all in good humor and fun.
As I read my scribbles that fill up the whole page, I don't want to bore you, my digital audience, but more impressions from my fellow audience members say this: Witty! Hilarious! So funny!

And I will say, that the final musical act with all nine cast members, singing a medley of beautiful Christmas tunes, is the cherry on top of this excellent holiday production.

Cheers and Kudos to the Cast and Crew for yet another stellar production. And to be so lucky, that there are TWO fabulous shows happening this weekend...do not miss Little Shop of Horrors at the High School!

Theatrically yours,
