Letter: Heavenly ia only in it for themselves

For over 45 years Heavenly Ski Resort has taken advantage of this community in numerous ways.

A few examples include:

1) In 1978 Heavenly went to the Lake Tahoe Unified School District requesting the District stop using the ski lift the District installed at the high school insisting it would ruin their business.

2) Heavenly refused to sell lift tickets in the city limits so they would not be subject to sales tax. Heavenly currently sells lift tickets in the city limits but only because there is an agreement with the city not to charge Heavenly sales tax on sales until the City pays off the bonds on the Heavenly Village development.

3) In the late 70s, Heavenly built a dam in Sky Meadows, which should be taken out, because of no permit from the CTRPA or TRPA which is used exclusively by Heavenly for snowmaking and for their fishing hole.
