Heavenly Village 60' Christmas Tree arrives to kick off the holiday season in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A dose of pre-holiday spirit has arrived in South Lake Tahoe. A 60-foot white fir tree was delivered to Heavenly Village. From there it will transform into a decorated Christmas Tree with a tree-lighting ceremony on Friday, November 29 at 5 p.m.

This iconic symbol of the season was carefully selected and transported to the Village from a fire prevention area in the Tahoe Basin. Thanks to the efforts of Kenny Curtzweiler, who has worked with event organizer Dreu Murin, to secure the perfect tree year after year. Curtzweiler’s dedication ensures that residents and visitors alike can enjoy the magic of the holiday season in true Tahoe style.

The tree’s arrival marks the beginning of a series of holiday celebrations at Heavenly Village, highlighted by tree lighting. This special event not only serves as the official kickoff to Heavenly Holidays, a month-long celebration featuring festive activities, live entertainment, and family fun but will also include an exciting lineup of speakers and a special musical performance.

Dignitaries attending the ceremony include El Dorado County Sheriff Jeff Leikauf, California State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil, Miss Heavenly Village Krysten Leikauf, and more. Additionally, the event will feature a special performance by Kristen Brown from NBC's The Voice, whose powerful vocals and holiday spirit are sure to captivate the audience.

“We’re thrilled to welcome this beautiful tree to Lake Tahoe’s #1 destination, the Heavenly Village Lake Tahoe,” said Gary Casteel Jr., president and CEO of TSI Investments and Shops at Heavenly Village. “It’s a testament to the strong community spirit here in South Lake Tahoe, and we can’t wait to share this special experience with our locals and visitors alike.”
