George Whittell and John Muir the focus of next Wylder Hope Valley history presentation

Wylder Hotel Hope Valley continues its interpretive campfire programs on Eastern Sierra history with a living history/Chautauqua-style presentation on one of Lake Tahoe’s most colorful characters, George Whittell, Jr., the “Accidental Conservationist.” The 50-minute program is on Saturday, November 27 at 2:00 p.m., is free and open to the public.

Then, on Sunday, November 28, at 10:00 a.m., using the words of John Muir, Eastern Sierra historian David Woodruff will take guests on a 50-minute look into the “Magnificent Forests of the Sierra Nevada.” There is no charge for this program and also open to all.
