Beach Retreat & Lodge to offer free rooms during Christmas to families of hospitalized relatives

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - ‘Tis the season for spreading holiday cheer, and this year the Beach Retreat & Lodge is doing just that by offering complimentary guest rooms to the families of those hospitalized from Tuesday, December 24 through Thursday, December 26.

“No one should have to be alone for Christmas,” said Dan Evans, general manager of the Beach Retreat & Lodge. “And for those who can’t make it home for the Holidays, we’ll help bring their homes to them.”

To do so, families of patients at Barton Memorial Hospital are invited to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas night – free of charge – at the hotel. Families may stay for one or two nights.

“The holidays can be a very stressful time, especially when someone you love is ill,” said Evans. “We hope that being close by will alleviate much of that stress and enable our guests to more fully enjoy the holiday.”
