SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Lake Tahoe Cancer League has held its annual See's Candy fundraiser for 46 years, and it is opening again on December 2 in the American Legion Post 795, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe. All proceeds go to support members of the community currently undergoing treatment by providing transportation and when needed, small grants to make their lives easier.
This chocolaty sweet event begins on December 2 and runs through December 21 They are open daily at the American Legion from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The South Lake Tahoe Cancer League is a nonprofit volunteer organization that has been serving local patients (our neighbors) from Meyers to Glenbrook by providing free transportation to and from their treatment centers around the lake as well as to UC Davis. When needed, grants are also given to ease their financial burden. They can do this because of the generosity of spirit Lake Tahoe has shown for nearly five decades.
While supplies last there is a wide selection of all chocolates and lollies, from stocking stuffer sizes to full-pound boxes.
