TRPA and Keep Tahoe Blue hosting virtual talk with Senator Padilla on Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and the League to Save Lake Tahoe will host a virtual chat with U.S. Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) to discuss how the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act will benefit the Lake Tahoe Basin on Tuesday, December 7 at 5:15 p.m. PT.

The bill allocates resources to respond to the growing threat of wildfires and includes a historic investment to combat the spread of aquatic invasive species. They will also discuss the latest developments regarding the reauthorization of the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act, which is vital to the continued success of the region.

Earlier this year, Senator Padilla hosted the 25th Annual Lake Tahoe Summit with support from the Tahoe Fund, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, and Team Tahoe Partners. The annual summit brings together elected officials, policymakers, federal agencies, the private sector, and local community leaders to collaboratively address environmental problems facing the Tahoe basin.
