Christmas weekend in South Lake Tahoe forecast to be sunny and in the 50s

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Strong inversions will keep low clouds across the region along with cold temperatures in valley locations through at least Monday. A few weak systems are possible Tuesday-Wednesday and again Friday, but impacts will be minimal. The holiday weekend will be quiet and mild before wet weather has a chance of returning in the week between Christmas and the New Year.

Confidence is high that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be dry. After that, weather models are not set on what weather patterns could hit the Sierra after the 26th. Stay tuned!
